Two robbers LYNCHED at Kibuye, Kisumu

Thursday 31st October 2013 - It was the proverbial 40thday for two suspected robbers who were lynched today morning by an angry mob at Kibuye market in Kisumu County.

The suspects were spotted in the stalls attempting to make away with valuable items by traders who raised alarm. Many other businessmen and buyers responded fast and cornered them in one of the stalls. They were beaten to death by irate members of the public.

Traders complained of rising cases of insecurity in the area explaining that they had lost property worth thousands of shillings to such robbers and so when they got an opportunity to teach the two a lesson they did not hesitate.

Police arrived at the scene but it was too late.

The charred remains were collected and taken to Nyanza General Hospital mortuary for preservation.
